Privacy Policy

One thing: what you type into the quote request form. That form has four fields, and the information it collects is the information you put in them.

That is the complete list. There is no hidden field, no additional tracking parameter attached to the submission, and nothing collected from you before you press the button.

The form posts to FormSubmit, a third party form delivery service, which forwards the contents to our email inbox. We then reply to you, arrange a measured visit if that is what you want, and prepare a written scope.

Your details are used to respond to your enquiry and to carry out any work you subsequently ask for. They are not sold, and they are not passed to a marketing list.

If a cabinet contractor is engaged to carry out work at your property, the information needed to do that work, which is your name, contact number and address, is shared with them for that purpose. That is the only circumstance in which your details go to a third party other than the form delivery service.

Worth stating explicitly, because most sites do several of these and visitors reasonably assume all sites do.

This site does not set cookies of its own. It is a static site with no session, no preference storage and nothing to remember between visits.

Two kinds of third party content appear on it and are worth naming, because content loaded from another domain can set its own cookies or log a request regardless of what this site does.

A Google Maps embed appears on the home page, the contact page and the service area page, showing the service area. It is loaded from Google and is subject to Google's own terms and privacy practices.

Links to external sources. The guides on this site link out to government, standards body and published cost sources so that every figure can be checked. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and following a link takes you to them. Every external link on this site opens in a new tab and carries a no referrer attribute.

Fonts are self hosted and served with the site rather than fetched from a font provider, so no request goes to a third party font service when you load a page.

This site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, the hosting platform may log standard technical request information such as an IP address, the page requested and a browser identifier, for the purposes of serving pages and protecting the service. That logging is the host's rather than something this site configures, and we do not use it to build a profile of visitors.

Enquiries are kept while they are live and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a quote can be revisited if you come back to it. Where work has been carried out, records relating to that work are kept for as long as is sensible for a contract of that kind.

If you would like your enquiry deleted, ask and it will be. There is no process to go through and no form to fill in beyond telling us.

Use the contact form and say what you want. That reaches the same inbox as everything else, and a person reads it.

Requests to see what we hold, to correct it, or to have it deleted are all handled the same way: tell us and we will do it.

If this site starts doing something it does not currently do, for example adding analytics or a phone number with call tracking, this page will be updated to say so before that happens rather than afterwards.
